The following is a listing of the Boards and Commissions that serve in Santa Clara County. Most of the members of these Boards and Commissions are appointed by the Board of Supervisors and serve at their discretion. All meetings are open to the public.

Advisory Commission for Persons with Disabilities	Vacant
Appointee shall be selected from a list of three nominees submitted by the Commission. Appointment is for an allocated 4-year term which commenced on July 1, 2004 and will expire on June 30, 2008. (Vacant position formerly held by Tracy A. Jacobs.)
Advisory Commission on Consumer Affairs	Expired
Appointee shall represent the public at large. Appointment is for a rotating 3-year term which commenced on July 1, 2007. Authority to appoint will remain with District 2 until term expiration on June 30, 2010. (Incumbent Ellis Levinson is eligible for reappointment.)
Advisory Commission on Consumer Affairs	Expired
Appointee shall represent the public at large. Appointment is for an allocated 3-year term which commenced on July 1, 2005 and will expire on June 30, 2008. (Incumbent Bill Ferguson is eligible for reappointment.)
Advisory Council to the Council on Aging	Vacant
Appointee shall be 60 years of age or older. Appointment is for an allocated 3-year term which commenced on July 1, 2007 and will expire on June 30, 2010. (Vacant position formerly held by Joseph Perez.)

Commission on the Status of Women	Vacant
Appointee shall represent the public at large. Appointment is for an allocated 3-year term which commenced on July 1, 2005 and will expire on June 30, 2008. (Vacant position formerly held by Naomi Nakano-Matsumoto.)
Council on Equal Employment Opportunities	Vacant
Appointee shall represent the community at large for women. Appointment is for a rotating 4-year term which commenced on July 1, 2006. Authority to appoint will remain with District 2 until term expiration on June 30, 2010. (Vacant position formerly held by Lata Patil.)
Fairgrounds Management Corporation	Expired
Appointee shall represent the public at large. Appointment is for an allocated 1-year term which commenced on January 1, 2008 and will expire on December 31, 2008. (Incumbent William Anderson is eligible for reappointment.)
Guadalupe Flood Control and Watershed (Central Zone)	Vacant
Nominee shall reside within the zone they represent. Nomination for an alternate for a Board As-a-Whole appointment is for an allocated 1-year term which commenced on January 1, 2008 and will expire on December 31, 2008. (Vacant position formerly held by Gloria Spanier.)
Guadalupe Flood Control and Watershed (Central Zone)	Vacant
Nominee shall reside within the zone they represent. Nomination for a representative for Board As-a-Whole appointment is for an allocated 1-year term which commenced on January 1, 2008 and will expire on December 31, 2008. (Vacant position formerly held by Dick Jarvis.)
Health Advisory Commission	Vacant
Appointee shall be a representative from a health-based community organization. Appointment is for a rotating 4-year term which commenced on July 1, 2005. Authority to appoint will remain with District 2 until term expiration on June 30, 2009. (Vacant position formerly held by David Lees.)
Juvenile Hall Advisory Board	Vacant
Appointee shall be a health professional with expertise in the area of child psychiatry and nominated by the Santa Clara Valley Health and Hospital System-Chief Executive Officer. Board As-a-Whole appointment is for an allocated 3-year term which commenced on July 1, 2007 and will expire on June 30, 2010. (Vacant position formerly held by Richard T. Nunes).
Mental Health Board	Vacant
Nominee shall be a consumer of mental health services. Nomination for Board As-a-Whole appointment is for an allocated 3-year term which commenced on July 1, 2006 and will expire on June 30, 2009. (Vacant position formerly held by Laura Barreras.)
Public Authority for In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Board	Vacant
Nominee shall be a parent or family member of a consumer of In-home Supportive Services . Nomination for Board-as-a-Whole appointment is for a rotating 4-year term which commenced on July 1, 2006. Authority to nominate will remain with District 2 until term expiration on June 30, 2010. (Vacant position formerly held by Alberta Williams.)
Senior Care Commission	Vacant
Appointee shall be over 60 years of age and represent the public at large. Appointment is for an allocated 3-year term which commenced on July 1, 2006 and will expire on June 30, 2009. (Vacant position formerly held by Elissa Young.)
Social Services Advisory Commission	Vacant
Appointee shall represent the public at large. Appointment is for an allocated 3-year term which commenced on July 1, 2005 and will expire on June 30, 2008. (Vacant position formerly held by Mary Jane Smith.)
